Data management in ABACUS/DaVinci takes place within a relational data model. An expansion of the data model - or the use of existing data structures beyond the base configuration of the application - is possible at any time.
Customer-specific applications can be implemented into the existing application on the basis of this open data model at any time. The fundamental functionalities for this purpose, such as the generation of PDF or Excel files, are already part of the application.
Data organisation in ABACUS/DaVinci is founded on a comprehensive partitioning concept. Based on this concept, various logical partitions are generated on a reporting date basis; aside from versioning of datasets, these accelerate and simplify data access and data analysis.
Standardised, normalised XML interfaces are available to receive the raw data from the previous or supply systems of the bank. These interfaces guarantee that supply will be uniform and nearly free of redundancies for the user. Pre-processing of these data is not necessary when using ABACUS/DaVinci, since all functionalities and logic functions which are relevant to regulatory reporting are part of the software.
